Betty Robinson House provides specialist palliative care for adult patients from diagnosis to the end of life.
Betty Robinson House is a purpose built and intensively staffed hospice with an emphasis on homely surroundings. It opened in 1991 and has recently been refurbished.
Accommodation is provided for up to ten patients in a four-bed bay and six single rooms (four have en-suite bathrooms that are fitted with height adjustable baths). While the environment is designed to look as relaxing and homely as possible, all the latest medical and nursing equipment is discretely available for staff to deliver high quality care. We are proud of the level of staff training, expertise and skill we have at the hospice and the high ratio of staff-to-patients we have on duty. This ensures an excellent quality of service and personalised care for the patient, their family and friends.
Betty Robinson House provides inpatient care for advanced cancer patients and those with MND/HIV disease. It's focus is on symptom control, short-term health assessment, rehabilitation and terminal care. Length of stay is determined by the patient's needs. The hospice provides a respite care service too.
