The Pasque Hospice

Pasque Charity Vacancies

The Pasque Charity currently has vacancies in the following care roles:

Paediatric Community Nurses
Two roles to cover Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.

These roles are about delivering holistic care and support, either in the family home or other community setting.

The ability to quickly build solid relationships based on trust is absolutely essential, as well as a collaborative approach that will see you drive effective multi-agency and multi-disciplinary working.

All the time you will act as a strong advocate for the child and their family, ensuring that they are fully involved in the development of their own plans of care. You will need to be an RSCN/RN (Child), while a community qualification would be useful too.

E/F Grade Paediatric Nurses
Keech Cottage, Luton. Various shift patterns available.

Leading the nursing team and all aspects of care, you will be at the heart of our commitment to providing a high-quality holistic service.

The key here will be your ability to develop a multi-disciplinary approach, enabling and empowering every member of your team to make the biggest difference they can. Diplomatic people skills are all important, together with the proven ability to identify needs, develop care plans, oversee complementary therapies and supervise the highest standards of nursing care.

Children's Palliative Care Support Worker
Two roles: 30 hours per week based in Hertfordshire.
One role: full-time based in Bedfordshire.

If you have experience of working with children, this is an excellent opportunity to join our community-based team. Your role will be to provide individual care to children in their homes, while acting as named carer for a number of children and their families. The most important thing here is to work in partnership with families, helping them to have as much involvement as possible in the way their child is cared for.

An NVQ Level 2/3 (or equivalent) would be useful, along with experience of counselling or bereavement. There is full training available though, plus all the supervision and support you need. A current driving licence is essential.

Health Care Assistants
Keech Cottage, Luton. Various shift patterns available.

Carrying out a wide range of duties within children's individual care plans, you will play a key role in ensuring that we deliver the highest possible standards.

Clearly, you will need to be sensitive to every child's particular needs - and excellent communication skills are a must too. You will enjoy plenty of supervision from a trained nurse, along with every opportunity to build your knowledge and skills. An NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent qualification would be ideal.

For a job description and application form for any of the above positions, please contact Lynda Harris on 01582 492339 or email lharris@pasque.org
